This portrait was created to mark Geoff’s 60th Birthday. Let’s take a closer look, and  find out why I put certain things in the cartoon portrait. Here’s the information I was given to create this drawing. Geoff leads a very busy dairy farmer so it was a challenge to fit everything in.

  • He is usually seen wearing a boiler suit, welly boots and a woolly hat. His life is his farm and his family [2 grown daughters Amelia and Karen and a cute 3 year old grandson Oliver who also loves the farm.]

  • Main income is from his Fresian black and white dairy herd. Geoff milks twice a day [6am  & 5pm],

  • Other animals if poss to include which his had over the years are sheep [maybe sheep bum and lamb being born], hens/eggs and £notes {was a good income for a while], a white turkey with a £25 and Merry Xmas tag around neck [used to rear 150 of them each Xmas] pigs, cat on roof.

  • Geoff drives a battered truck and his useless sheepdog Daisy is often found sitting on his seat looking out of the window so could you include that. His dog also chews Geoff's welly boots .

  • Geoff's mobile phone which he keeps in top overall pocket is always ringing [more decisions on prices/added pressure]

  • On signpost [depicting so much to do and not knowing which job to do first] could you include as many as poss in following order- MILKING, YARD WORK, BOOKWORK [he hates it], HARVESTING, SLEEPING no chance, FERTILISING, SPRAYING and MAJORCA [pointing upwards] and name of farm ABBOTSLEIGH on the upright post of sign.. Geoff tries to have a 20min snooze on sofa in conservatory after lunch)

  • Other things to include which are quite important as Geoff is hopeless at keeping farm records which he is supposed to are: a pile of books labelled  AI, DIARY, and MEDICINE BOOK. The medicine book to be on top or somewhere open with no entries on the pages [ he is supposed to keep medical records of all drugs given to animals, its in his head but not on the page! a real headache for him]

  • He reads the Farmers Weekly and Western Morning News paper.

You'll probably have even more fun thinking up things about someone you know.
